Dorper Sheep

The Dorper Breed was developed in South Africa around 1930 originating from the Dorset Horn and Persian Blackhead sheep. Dorpers are fast growing, large bodied hair sheep with ample capacity to carry multiple lambs prior to lambing.

The breed itself is very popular and constantly growing in popularity. It is currently the second most popular sheep breed in South Africa.
